Personal Opinion on this Cuisinart Coffee MakerOK, I love my coffee and home brew coffee is no exception.
When I first got it out of the pack (I got the chrome black to match all my kitchen accessories), I thought what a
beautiful machine. I cleaned the glass jug and got my favorite coffee and brewed myself a nice long black. The
Cusiniart DCC 1200 Coffee Maker makes a good coffee period.
The carafe with it’s variable temperature modes keeps the coffee warm and at a nice temperature while everyone gets
ready in the morning. At first I was not sure how to use all the controls on the face front and who does these days
with all the buttons on every gadget, but after reading the manual for the coffee maker, I found it a breeze to
brew my own tailor made coffee that my husband loves too!
Some design flaws I found out and I would think is pretty big is that you can’t really see how much water you’ve
poured in unless your peer through the top. This is a bit hassle, when you are in a rush and just want to make
a quick cup of coffee for two.
The opening to put the coffee in is also very slim, and when I try to put hot water from the tap, sometimes it has
burned me, but this rarely happens. I also found that when pouring into a mug, there was a bit of spillage from the
spout due to the plastic lid not coming down properly.
Overall, the Cuisinart DCC 1200 12 Cup Brew Central Coffee Maker is a solid coffee maker especially at the price.
There are better machines on the market but they cost a lot more. It looks great and makes excellent coffee.
As it fulfils it’s duty as a coffee maker, its design flaws are overcome. Have a Cuisiniart coffee on me anyday!
